Tyre - The Roman Marble Colonnaded Road (Estimated 4th-5th Century) / South Lebanon

The Roman Marble Colonnaded Road in Tyre was roofed and paved with marble and mosaics from the Phoenician, Roman, and Byzantine eras, in addition to stones from the Arabian era. Along the road, there are ruins of a Phoenician temple, paths, and a theatre dating to the Roman era. Last year, another Phoenician temple was discovered at the same site, believed to be the first Phoenician temple in Phoenicia.

The marble columns diameter is 1 m at the topped with huge beautifully carved crowns.
