Green Southerners

Wildlife Infographics Project

The "Wildlife Infographics" project is a purposeful and ambitious cultural-educational initiative that reflects the principles and goals of Green Southerners Organisation in its efforts to protect and restore wildlife in Lebanon. Raising awareness and educating about wildlife, and the importance and rights of its members—both plant and animal species—is an entry point to understanding and thus building a peaceful relationship with our environmental surroundings.

The Wildlife Infographics project aims to fill a gap in accessible educational and awareness materials about different types of animals exposed to various forms of violations, including arbitrary and unjust killing, abuse, and habitat destruction. Added to these challenges are climate change impacts, making many native species vulnerable to extinction, which threatens to disrupt the ecological balance in Lebanon and the surrounding region.

These releases provide easy-to-understand educational and awareness materials about wildlife, designed to allow recognition of animal species for different age levels. They are useful for educational institutions, which we rely on heavily to participate in our campaigns and ongoing efforts to spread environmental awareness, as well as municipalities that can play a significant local role in raising awareness and protecting wildlife within their jurisdiction. We rely on their cooperation and have many successful experiences in this regard.

Educational institutions in Lebanon and abroad can contact us at the association’s email address [email protected] with an official letter from the requesting institution to provide the materials, which we offer free of charge and with print-quality standards. We hope, at a later stage and with available resources, to print and distribute them to various educational institutions.
