Archaeologist Dr. Nicholas Carrion Signs Green Southerners’ Petition to Protect Adloun Beach

Archaeologist Dr. Nicholas Carrion has signed the Green Southerners’ petition to protect Adloun Beach and declare it a natural and archaeological reserve, urging the Lebanese government to take action to halt the ongoing works due to the damage they are causing to this important and sensitive environmental and archaeological site.

Dr. Carrion considers that the damage inflicted on the site, which holds great potential, deprives us of a valuable opportunity to understand not only the history of Lebanon’s southern coast but also, more broadly, the entire region, prior to conducting proper archaeological excavations.
