Wildlife
Partner in the web of life, Central to ecosystem balance and at the heart of habitat protection.
All living beings are partners on the planet. They hold a right to life and are not resources for exploitation. Protecting them and their habitats sits at the center of our work.
Green Southerners treats animals, plants, and microorganisms as partners that share the same land and sea. They hold a right to exist and thrive. No authority holds the right to remove that.
The organisation places the protection of living beings and their habitats at the core of its advocacy. A stable future depends on strong biodiversity and on respect for the rights of nature. Rewilding Lebanon is one of our founding principles. It guides our effort to reduce harmful pressure on species, restore natural balance, and give ecosystems the space needed to recover.
Healthy wildlife is essential for climate adaptation and mitigation. Strong ecosystems store carbon, regulate water, reduce land degradation, and support the stability that communities need under rising climate stress. Protecting wildlife strengthens the ability of nature and people to face climate risks and secure long term resilience.
