Farmer's Friend – Owl Release at Aytaroun and Maroun al-Ras Reserve

The association “Green Southerners,” in coordination with the Municipality of Aytaroun, released the last barn owls of the year on December 28, 2021. This followed the initial discovery and treatment by a responsible citizen, who then contacted the association to handle the rehabilitation of the wild bird, which had escaped from captivity and suffered from injuries, malnutrition, and inability to fly.

The association monitored the owl’s condition, and after examinations, X-rays, medical treatment, and a 15-day rehabilitation period, the owl was released into the Aytaroun and Maroun al-Ras Reserve in Bint Jbeil, southern Lebanon.
